Dino Airless SP-450 Paint Sprayer including Spray Gun and High-Pressure Hose
With the DINO Airless SP-450, you receive a semi-professional paint sprayer. You can use the SP-450 for water-based and oil-based paints. For high-viscosity paints, you should dilute them according to the manufacturer's instructions. We recommend conducting a test spray in advance to find a dilution that gives you the optimal spray pattern on the wall. Our tip: Start with a low dilution and gradually work your way up to the optimal level. A higher dilution may be easier to spray, but it also covers less effectively.
Due to the relatively high max. operating pressure (for a device in this price range), you still achieve good spray pressure at the nozzle outlet. This is a prerequisite for an even spray pattern without the dreaded striping at the edge of the spray field. The longer the hose from the device to the spray gun and the more viscous the paint, the lower the pressure at the spray head. Therefore, the operating pressure is usually higher than the spray pressure.
In our opinion, the max. operating pressure justifies the slightly higher price compared to the absolute entry-level class of airless paint sprayers. Especially if you want to paint an entire apartment or larger areas, you may save a second coat with less dilution and thus better paint coverage. Additionally, the operating pressure reduces the risk that the area needs to be reworked with a paint roller due to striping.
A maximum operating pressure of 214 bar still produces a streak-free or low-streak spray pattern on the wall even with higher viscosity. Hold the spray gun at a distance of 25-30 cm parallel to the surface to avoid striping. You must always move your entire arm and not guide the spray gun over the wall from the wrist. Otherwise, the paint mist hits the surface at an angle, resulting in an uneven paint application on the wall. The gun should be moved evenly and smoothly in one motion from right to left or top to bottom. If your arm is too short for the wall height, use a ladder or one of our extension rods. This way, you will enjoy your work the most.
The paint is sucked from a bucket into the Airless SP-450 paint sprayer via the suction tube and reaches the spray gun through the high-pressure hose. This allows you to work more comfortably compared to devices with an integrated paint tank on the spray gun. Even with a "small" tank volume of 0.5-0.8 liters, painting with such a hobby device quickly becomes tiring.
The cleaning of the device is described in our operating instructions, be sure not to let the paint dry in the device after work is done. The extremely small nozzles clog very quickly with dried paint clumps. Please also stir the used paint well and avoid sucking in dried paint residues or dirt into the machine.
Please consider work safety when using the Airless SP-450 device and be sure to read the enclosed user manual before commissioning. Above all, never point the spray gun in the direction of people.
